Overview:
The two pronged mount offers an efficient way to mount your Exposure Trace and Trace R lights. The clip takes advantage of the compliant properties of nylon to make a tool-less and speed way to get your bicycle light off the bike.
Design:
The C-shaped design allows the entire clip to flex, preventing localised deformation around the prongs. As a result, the grip of the clip remains consistent regardless of the bolt's torque, unlike similar clips.
Additionally, it holds the light securely without the need for bands, positioning the light perpendicularly to the typical impact forces encountered during a ride.
Super 8 Edition:
To celebrate surpassing 300 sales, we created a limited run of eight unique Exposure Trace clips. Using a subtractive modelling process, each clip was designed with its own set of parameters, making every piece truly one-of-a-kind. The process involved generating frameworks with randomised inputs, meaning no two clips are the same and reproducing any single one would be remarkably difficult.
Functionally, these mounts are no different from our standard design, but by purchasing one, you're supporting the 3bits project.
